Owners are responsible if their renter moves and does not pay the water bill. It is the responsibility of the owner to collect a deposit against the water used by the renter. LWSC will not collect deposits from renters. The owner should contact the office as soon as possible when a renter has moved so we can get a final reading before the new renter moves in. This will prevent disputed bills between renters and keep renter information current.
Owners will be required to sign an alternate billing agreement if they want the water bill to be sent directly to their renter.
